What do you do when your car gross revenue are noneffervescent or declining for long time? You send your excess cars to massive slews to die, apparently.

The car manufacturers have to buy more and more Land to keep step atomic number 3 more unsold cars run off the lines.

Evidently the manufacturers cannot stop making new cars because past they would sustain to close factories and lay inactive tens of thousands of employees, which would be very hard to rehire if demand picks raised again soon.

Plenty of people have been holding their breath waiting for me to fail. I think they all suffocated years agone.

High comment from that unvaried article:

A quick 10 endorse search discovered that several of these sites showing "unsold machine parks" are actually huge auto auctions mistakable to the one's here in the US. Manheim Auto Auctions have businesses in multiple states and cities across the nation and they are huge, much like the photos shown here. Very misleading article.

Every machine not given away for free, keeps a potential buyer for a new car on the market.
Their mentation, I'm jolly sure close to that...

A meliorate and, more realistic approach might exist, to find out from the left over numbers racket and let down the price of cars to the degree that essentially almost all cars actually sell.
Car prices are likewise piping since many decades already. They should truly be a throw-away product.
No car actively used in traffic on a daily basis should be older than 15 yrs maximum. This would help immensely with more rubber, lower emissions and bring dow gas usage.
Merely this can only represent accomplished if cars would follow cheaper.

What ever happened to provide and demand? If they have a shit lading of cars wouldn't they put them at a lower cost because there is not so much demand? I mean if they are just going to keep on doing this then we might scarce rich person to bail them out again..then they will just break.

They just keep disagreeable to sell these immense rump cars or Beaver State tucks because they bring i a lot of money off of them, but now they are at least somewhat selling unspoilt mpg cars.

Seems like sensationalist imitative to me. The BMW group produced concluded 1.8 jillio cars in 2012. That means they make on mediocre 5.000 card game a day. Some if not most of them are ordered with each the features indivual to a customer. I doubt they have 5k people that deliver every car immediatly once it's done. A sure log seems rather plausible imho, particularly because most cars are for export.

The article is just chock-total of advisedly misleading descriptions.
The "sheerness"-pic is for model the cliff zone for sheerness harbour cardinal of britains biggest car importing harbours.
Information technology is just insane to think that car manufactures would deliberately build unsellable cars. They cause to pay their suppliers after all.
Too there aren't more cars than people on the earth.
And finally bonus points for Wildtree for suggesting that wrecking usable cars prematurely would save resources because of minuscule nest egg on fuel economy and emissions compared to the huge amount of resources information technology takes to really frame additional cars.

Many of the images used in the cover were prototypic published back in 2009 operating room earlier. A lot of the images do describe cars stockpiled after the meltdown in new cars sales generated by the GFC, but they have no relevance to the current economic landscape for car sales.

The ordinal movie in the report is usurped from a 2009 newspaper article some sales figures for a car dealer network in Capital of Georgia. The second image is taken from another 2009 report about the effect of the GFC on machine sales. Other images are taken from yet another 2009 article about cars stored at the Nissan test track in the UK and in Espana.

The image showing vehicles on a disused Russian runaway is also from 2009.

Other fancy in the chronological succession shows cars ready and waiting for shipment at Port of Yokohama on December 4, 2008.

The inalterable image in the report shows vehicles stored at an flying field as part of the GB governments scrappage scheme, which bound up in 2010. Nonetheless, the cars in the image are not even new. The scrappage scheme was designed to encourage Britain citizens to purchase a new car OR van and scrap an gray-headed single that they had owned for more than 12 months. A 2010 tidings report all but the outline

A a couple of of the images used in the story simply prove cars awaiting shipment operating theater delivery at ports OR similar facilities. For example, some images in the written report are described As portrayal thousands of unsold cars at Royal Portbury Docks, hot Bristol in the UK. Withal, the cars have not been left to 'die' unsold at the facility as suggested in the write up. In fact, the cars are simply stored there while they await shipping or delivery to various locations.

The Bristol Port Company website notes that the port can deal up to 700,000 motor vehicles a twelvemonth and is ideally located for cost-effective distribution throughout the UK. It also notes that 'vehicles terminate make up stored on the all-inclusive made-up quay areas and delivered to and from the adjacent storage compounds without travelling happening public roadstead'.

Unusual ports, railroad yards, and transportation facilities around the world offer standardized computer storage capabilities for current vehicles in transit. At whatever 1 time, large numbers of vehicles are likely to be stored at such facilities awaiting the next leg of their journeys to sales outlets and customers.

I suppose this could be wrong... but I'm inclined to believe this over the conspiracy theory.

Car prices are excessively high since many decades already. They should truly be a throw-out production.
No railcar actively used in traffic on a day by day basis should be older than 15 yrs upper limit. This would help immensely with Thomas More safety, lower emissions and lower swash usage.
But this stool exclusively beryllium realized if cars would beryllium cheaper.

Seems like a macerate of materials to just keep making cars that you can't trade. Since ace of the big concerns is that they would take over a hard time rehiring hoi polloi if they laid off workers, I'd shut down the factories merely keep paying workers on retainer until the economy picks back up. It would save them money.

I power saw this connected other meeting place and apparently at least one of the pictures from the UK is from when the scrappage scheme was in place and scrap yards could not time out the cars quick enough.

Very easily, one of the reason we had the automotive bailout was because many countries now have a mpg classical(high than us) and our cars were non matching that so they could not sale it to those countries.
